Went to Bill's north today and tested out my new(to me) Hi-Point 9mm carbine.
This gun is amazing, I've shot a lot of guns and I just don't have any real complaints about this thing. Yeah it's not a super duper awesome tactical gun capable of mowing down hoards of juggalos from 3 miles away...but it doesn't cost $3,000 either.
I shot about 300 rounds and using a red dot sight I was getting a 4" cluster at 50 yards while standing unsupported....Not at all bad for a 9mm!
Did not have one failure of any kind.
Trigger pull was very nice.
Decently balanced.
I was using the original stock and the aftermarket stock pad with 2 magazine holders and I was very comfortable.
Not once did the plastic stock annoy me....I guess the only thing that I didn't care for was that it's a slight pain to lock the bolt to the rear, and the bolt doesn't lock to the rear on your last round...But count out 9 rounds and slap a new magazine in and you don't have to worry.
Higher capacity magazine would be nice, but for a $200 gun with a lifetime warrany IT'S FUCKING AWESOME!
