    good fishing spots?

I've been doing a good bit of catfishing lately. I've found the fishing pretty good at the Coon Rapids Dam and the river just south of the lock and dam by the Ford plant.

I'm wanting to do some bass fishing now. Anyone know where I should go? I've got a small boat, but have no idea what spots to hit with it.

I'm not asking the truth behind WMDs, or where Obama was really born. I just want to know where there's some good fishin'.

            Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

What area would you be looking for? What style of fishing do you like, such as flippin' and pitch, fishing the slop, deep cranking..... It's hard to just pin point a spot or a guaranteed lake. You just need to pick a lake and fish the hell out of it. I fished a few lakes I've never been on and caught fish. Patients is the best advice I can give and don't try to fish the whole lake all in one day.

Or try the Rum River north of Anoka--there is a ramp behind the Anoka County Fairgrounds on that road that comes off the south 90 degree bend in highway 47. I'd wait a week 'cause the Anoka County Fair is on now and the area is a cluster*uck. Known for smallies and I've heard there are walleyes in there too, but haven't caught any walleyes yet. I have an older 12' Alumacraft w/ 8 hp Evinrude and it works perfect for the small rivers and lakes--which usually don't attract the recreational traffic.

Crow river, you'll see a horseshoe with an entrance from 241. it's on the left side right after the house on the hill. it's a long winding dirt/gravel road that goes down the side of the hill. dont go off the side or it's a 100' drop right to the river bottom. good northern and bass fishing. I caught 2 15+lb northern out of there. I just use a sucker minnow and a bober not complicated fishing and good spot to kick back and watch the eagles that nest across the river.
