IMHO, you do NOT want a SA revolver for a CC. DA revolver would be fine, but when the shit hits the fan and you lose all fine motor skills, you're going to have a hell of a time pulling that hammer back.

            agreed.
I'd be lucky to have motor skills to use the safety on my 1911 in condition 1. But thats the only logical way to carry it IMO.

Nonsense, carry it cocked and locked like it was ment to be in a good holster that covers the trigger guard and you'll never have a problem.

I do not see the point in carrying a handgun if it's not ready to rock the second you need it, no thinking required (to operate the pistol that is...) But whatever, carry how you please.

Ive been carrying my Kahr PM9 for a few months now, IWB in a good holster, loaded with a round in the pipe. It has no external safety, no trigger safety. But it is DAO with a LONG (but smooth...) trigger pull and a firing pin block to prevent accidental discharges. I have yet to accidentally kill any small children or any of my future children with my gun, yet it's ready to go the instant I need it.

Who was that guy on the giants that got a case of 'glock leg' again? Whoever that guy was, he needs a holster.

That's a good point, but I don't plan on getting into that kind of situation ever, well hopefully, and if I do, I am hoping that the person I point it retreats so I do not have to put a hole in a mothafucka.

...but what if you do have to... and can't because your weapon is effectively useless because you can't cock it AND aim AND fire accurately all under the stress of a real life life/death situation? An unloaded gun (or a gun that is not ready to fire when you need it to be...) will get you into far more trouble than it will get you out of.

I'm sure no matter what I could pull it out and bring the hammer back no problem. I've was jumped by 2 nigs in Wayzata where they caught me by surprise, and I know if I were strapped, even getting kicked in the stomach, I could've pulled out a snubnose and shot those little fucks...IF I would have had one at the time.
