    need: cordless drill

    my dewalt just snapped the shaft, while drilling thru the frame on the velle. anyone have a good 18v dewalt/milwaukee/makita cordless they wanna sell?

    im sure the dewalt is fixable but i need something right away.

            Dude, I know you might think that this is a cheap garbage idea... but Harbor Freight sells really cheap 18v NiCad drills for under 30 bucks.

            None of the tools that I have bought there have broke or done something that I didnt want them to. They have alot of useful stuff, and its all budget, like my favorite store, I get lost for hours in there

            The reasoning behind this is that if you break it, throw it away and get another one. shit pays for itself most of the time

                harbor freight is the best for throw away cheap tools.

                  I know you need something right away but check the date stamp (on bottom where battery mounts) on the one that broke, Dewalt has a three year warranty. They have a service center in Eden Prairie that takes care or warranty claims, no need for a reciept or proof of purchase. I burnt one of mine out using a 4" hole saw going though 8 consecutive batteries (drilling through 3 treated 2x10's and it got so hot it started smoking) and they replaced the motor, switch and transmission for free.

                          Yeah I have some corded cheap drills also. If I need to drill something and it is taking a while I use those and just stand on them.
