Different than a true addiction. I watched a show (which makes me a TCS expert on the subject) about people who were true food addicts. They tried stomach stapling but they would eat until the staples tore, even though it was very painful. No different than a person that drinks themselves into a coma every day, gambles their life savings or is a meth head.

Eating can release endorphins, in very few people this can cause as severe an addiction as drugs/gambling/alcohol/ect. Just about every study out there says that in order to overcome an addiction you must not relapse.

Stomach stapling is not a fix for an addiction (over eating is usually a mental/ emotional cause as a lot of addictions) fawk you want a mainstream example, watch the Biggest Looser....nevermind, you watched a show, obviously you know what you're talking about

I watched a show, which probably makes me just as educated on the subject as you.

I'm still talking true addiction, not someone who liked fatty cakes and TV too much.

If someone weighs 400+ pounds, I'm going with they are truly addicted (or legitimately have a gland disorder)...and obviously since you know so much about me, you are correct one show means you know as much as I do

If a seatbelt doesn't fit around the fattys and they are unable to wear it, should they get fined too?

Yes, the police should tow the car to their house and make said fatty walk home

Yes, but you are a woman. Thus, you get pregnant and drive up everyone else's insurance rates.

                        No win for you!

Ever notice how nobody in Ethiopia has a "gland disorder"?

I also feel bad for those who got hurt (and didn't say "watch this" shortly before) or have other problems like a malfunctioning thyroid. They are legitimate medical problems out of their control.
The way you were coming across seemed different, but I think there's a lot more to it than living healthy. Look at Linda McCartney.
I'm not fat and eating cupcakes BTW.

There are a lot of different angles to look at things though, and life changes peoples perspective over time. I have noticed a severe change in what's acceptable over the years and most of it seems to limit what others do. That part scares me though. The common theme of what others should be doing. I had an devils advocate on drunk driving I was going to throw out there for fun, but I probably shouldn't. You would be surprised what was acceptable just a few decades ago and people weren't dropping like flies.
