I have an older Pioneer tuner/receiver (Model CX-790) and stand alone 4-Channel Amp (Model M-790) that connects to the receiver via a ribbon cable. I acquired the units cheap awhile back as-is that went into storage. They look like pretty decent quality higher end stuff. I think the amp is rated about 75W per channel. Dusted them off today and plugged them in. Nothing powered on, found main fuse blown in the amp. Temporarily bypassed fuse
and everything powers up nice, display works nice, etc. Hooked a speaker up from my old setup and promptly blew it up
I'm guessing amp is putting out straight 110v to speakers? Any ideas on what I could check/replace in the amp?
