I have been noticing a lot of young single males or women (in general regardless of age) driving 3.8 Mustangs...... Has this generation seriously lost touch with their manhood, or is driving a v8 just the married thing to do?

So, you just now noticed this? The v6, since its release, has always sold more than the v8.
If you want a Mustang and are worried about paying for fuel, or higher insurance costs and have no intention of driving aggressive that's the way to go.

i couldnt afford the insurance of the gt (i was 20 years old, had about 10 moving violations from 16-20) thats why i have a v6. the gas mileage still sucks its not like i get better gas mileage than the gts anyway.. maybe 1 mpg more on the highway. gas mileage should be a non issue no mustang gets that great of gas mileage

Its was hilarious, the wife and I were in the Sonic stall facing taco bell the other day watchin a kid tryin to be all hard in his black late 90s v6. I couldnt stop laughing, he was hitting on some chicks that would even give him the time of day.
