Looking for a mini laptop

Walmart has an Acer 8.9, and Best Buy has a Dell in the same size screen. Which do you guys think is better. They are both about $299.

Anybody got any recommendations? Basically, I'm just looking to surf the internet when I'm at work.

I've owned a few of those in the past and they were both returned. The Acer was returned the next day and exchanged for the HP.... The HP went back 4 days later. They are "Netbooks" not "laptops" and therefore have limited memory, hard drive space and processor power. They were both VERY glitchy and unstable during basic web browsing. Spend the money on a small "laptop" and stay away from the netbooks..... you'll be much happier, IMO.

I browse the net no problem with my smart/pda cell phone with a opera browser. I might be on it now.... what cell provider do ya have? get a pda type cell with qwerty.

I'd go with the Dell before the Acer. Probably will want to upgrade the memory right off the bat.
