Robert St. used to be the shit. Used to cruise it every weekend. Start at Burger King, get kicked out, go to Taco Bell next door, get kicked out, next was either A & W or Signal Hills Mall parking lot. If we got asked to leave there and it was still early we'd go back to Burger King. Used to race up and down Robert too. I used to work at the Wendys wayyyyyyyyyyy back in the day, before they turned it into a fucking Pier One.

as for a&w, the old school ones are awesome. but the new style with no drive up style is not as cool.

I remember as a kid going to the a&w on century in oakdale, kinda by the maplewood nature center. its longggg gone I believe.

We used to do it in the wee hours of the morning. Make a pass from a light, go like hell until there was an obvious winner or someone backed off and then take a side street and wander for a few. Then roll back to Robert. Cops always showed up well after the fact. They'd see us gathered somewhere and give us a good stare down. Then we'd go cruise for awhile and come back. The West St. Paul cops hated us.

Ya, cruising robert street is quite fun. There was a lot of it in highschool, and now I find myself working on it. I just wish mid day traffic didn't suck hairy ******g donkey balls.

It's an Autozone now. The Newport A&W is an abandon building and the Cottage Grove one which was short lived is a gas station.
