Take a stroll out of your house sometime to say the local mall. You will see plenty of teenage corn fed mancows devouring cinnabons like it's their last meal.

I'm not an expert, but I believe that Quad band is just a GSM phone that has been designated as a "World Edition" Meaning that it will work in Europe, Asia, and both the Americas.
What are you looking for phone wise? Just voice? Voice/Web? Smartphone? and how much you willing to spend?

I would like to stay under $100, I would like a web browser, and camera, something like an HTC Mogul, HTC Touch Pro or Diamond. I know the Touch phones are new and usually expensive, I have seen some Moguls cheaper. Also found a sprint PPC 6700 pretty cheap. But I dont really know too much about either. I guess what it boils down to is im on a budget, dont want to sign a contract, would like something that has a web browser and a camera. I know, kinda alot to ask for, any help would be appreciated.

A BIG WARNING!! BE CAREFUL ABOUT PEOPLE SELLING PHONES WITH A BAD ESN!!
Before you buy it, get the ESN from the buyer and call Sprint yourself and verify if the ESN is good 888.211.4727. Or get the account holder to call in, releasing the phone ESN off of the account before you buy it.

Ok, cool, I would not have known to do that.
Thanks for the help

The quad band just tells you what frequencies it works on. Generally the US is GSM-850 and GSM-1900.
This should really only be a concern if you're planning on traveling with the phone, or you're buying a phone from europe/asia to use here.
I thought Verison was GSM?

nope, cdma.. sprint ppc 6700 are cool, but I don't miss mine. for 250 with a contract you can pick up a diamond, which is well worth the money IMO. For the money you're looking to spend, mogul or original touch is probably your best bet if you can find em.

Ended up signing another contract, and coming home with a Palm Trio 800, the thing is pimp! Plus the dude knocked another $50 off, and threw in an extra battery, so after the rebate, it will be $50
