    electricity + math queston...trdon?

im bored so Im making a bs thread to pass the time...

I have 3 20 amp ground fault outlets in my garage on one 20amp breaker.... (that doesnt even sound right)... ohwell heres my bs queston. I have currently a clock radio pluged into one pulling 10ma... and drill battery charger pluged into another one pulling 60ma. and a radiant electric heater plugged into the last one which is closest to the breaker box... (actually conected to the breaker box) which pulls 1500watts... now if I plug my vacuum cleaner in and turn it on the breaker trips....

how much power is my vacuum cleaner pulling?

1500 watts is probably close to 13 amps. Doesn't leave much for the vacuum cleaner.

I plugged the vacuum cleaner into the outlet with drill chargers on it, with them plugged in. Worked fine for me.

how much power is my vacuum cleaner pulling?

The heater is not pulling watts, its "pulling amps" close 12-13amps. We dont know how many amps your vac requires because your 20amp breaker is popping before hand. Its obviously drawing more than 7-8amps, initially taking more than 840-960 watts of power.

Upgraded your wiring you silly goose.

And 3 20amp outlets on 1 20amp breaker is fine, you just cant draw more than that 20amp total on the sum of those 3 outlets.

                      EDIT: IBTRDON smack down

                              I disagree.
