read the article trolls. IT beats the lightning, by over half a sec it says. re read please.
Article says it went 13.0 in 1/4, my stone stock Lightning went 13.3 in the 1/4 in 2003 they may have been compairing it to the 99-00 Lightning which had 15hp less and 3.55 gears vrs 3.73s. But Mark seriously .3 seconds faster for a truck that by all intensive purposes is 10 years newer and $15,000+ more than a Lightning sold new?
However getting the compairisons to the lightning aside, I think Toyota did a much better job making a new sport truck than Dodge did at the attempt with the SRT10. The chrome grill on the Toyota has to go, and the price has to come down, as its the same price as a fully loaded F150 4x4 Lariet crew cab (Mark, I assume the same could be said for a fully loaded 4x4 Tundra am I right?) Its hard to justify a toy that costs as much as the fully loaded work horse version. That was one of the reasons why the Lightning sold well, as it was cheaper than is 4x4 counterpart.
Get the price down to reality, get rid of the chrome, and its actually a pretty cool truck.
i know it's been beaten to death, but the tundra tailgate is only rated to 200 lbs and folds under anything more. that says everything you need to know about the truck right there, the tailgate is the work end of any pickup.
who cares about 0-60.
