Well, I just got a new DD the other day. I wanted something that I could pack my dog, camping gear, wife and kid in and get good mileage in. I was deciding between the Mazda 3 hatchback and Saturn Astra when I found some incredible deals on the '09 Pontiac Vibe. As much as I liked the Mazda, I wanted my money to stay in the USA.
I didn't like the previous body styling of the Vibe, and the almost inevitible Vibrator nickname from people, but, this thing is an awesome little car!
Comes standard with 3 months of XM, OnStar, Stabilitrak, ABS and 6 airbags. Combined with a 5yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty, 26mpg city and 32mpg hwy with the 1.8L, and the fact that it's a Toyota design with fantastic reviews and reliability, I was impressed. I did check to make sure that the money would soley stay with GM.
With Red Tag pricing in combination with other incentives, I got it for $12,900. It's MSRP was $16,600.
