The State Department announced Friday that two Americans were killed and at least four were injured. An official confirms the two Americans killed were traveling with a group from the Synchronicity Foundation in Virginia. A spokeswoman from that group identified them as Bobbie Garvey, 58, and his 13-year-old daughter Naomi.
The U.S. official spoke on condition of anonymity because the department was not yet publicly releasing the victims' names.
President George W. Bush was following events Friday from the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland, and a spokeswoman says he received a briefing Friday morning.
