Michael Crichton dies of cancer at 66

That's sad, he was a great author. I read Jurassic Park in high school, was awesome.

Unfortunate. His book is almost reality.

I thought the story line was the weakest of his books. But it was an ok read.

I loved his others also, but found this one fascinating because it was based on actual events with actual data. The story was created around what was happening in the news and politically at the time (still going on). I thought he made a very credible case in the book, but for pure entertainment value, some of his others might have been more engaging to that end.

Anyone read Cussler? I just finished The Navigator, Atlantis Found and am reading Fire Ice. I just finished Vince Flynn's The Third Option and have Executive Power on the nightstand also.
