    Salvage title?

Is it possible to have a salvage title cleared in this wonderful state? I'm thinking about picking up a theft recovery vehicle to drive but would like to be able to sell it reasonably, down the road.

    Anyone done it?

if it has over 100k on it or older than ten years. There are other ways, but not feasible. I am saying you can get a clean title, but would still show as a salvage through Carfax or such.

Its a 06 with under 30K. I have heard of people having a salvage title changed to rebuilt and other similar descriptions. I may be wrong but I assume a bank is more willing to give a loan for a car with a rebuilt title than one with a salvage title.

A rebuilt is a salvage that has been fixed, same thing, different wording, banks dont like it either way

They will frown upon it and will still be a high risk loan and intern have a higher interest rate

If you get a clean title and potential buyer runs a report on the car down the road...you just lost your deal.

You usually get a clean title if the car's been depreciated under $3000 or so. I don't think this is your case, though.

Doesn't it seem deceitful to try and get a clean title when it is a salvage?

wouldn't it be possible to just get a wisconsin title on it? from my understanding they don't have salvage titles.

I've had three salvaged title vehicles, I currently have two. It all depends on what you are looking for. I personally do alot of my own work. So for me I came out great on both. Also when I buy something, I keep it and drive it. I don't trade it off or sell it next year.

You can look at it a couple ways. Pay more now, for better resale later. Or pay less now for, worse resale later. Of course 8.5 million other factors can play into it too. I've had good luck.

I thought they did but the god damn dealership over there that pedles SRT-4's picks up salvages and sells them at 3/4 the price with next to zero miles. said the title will show up as clean in other states since they dont have one. I thought that was alittle off.
