I'm saying this as a professional...

Is he using any type of drugs?

Emotional changes can be a sign of drug abuse.

Just an observation...not saying its happening.

the way you worded it sounds like this just started. drugs is a possibility for sure. i wasthinking maybe girlfriend dumped him or hes having trouble and jsut not feeling great...depression etc.. plenty of reasons. talk to him about it.

I agree with the posts above. It sounds like drugs, depression, or both. If you care about your friend, get professional help.

I agree with the others as well, guys don't just "snap" for no reason. Before jumping down his throat with accusations of a daily heroin addiction, perhaps consider that maybe he's just not happy with his current living conditions...or he's depressed about his job...or he's having money issues...or a particular relationship is going sour (girlfriend, mom, dad, yadda yadda). Instead of getting pissed at the guy, maybe try talking to him about it...sometimes all a person wants is for somebody to listen to them instead of being told to shut the fuck up all the time.

i highly doubt that its drugs. its may his job and his parents or whatever and he hasnt had a girlfriend in a while....but its not that it just started to happen recently. its happened on and off before and i have no idea what the hell to do. he wont just sit down and talk abotu anything cuz he is too 'tough' for that. as soon as someone asks him whats wrong he will just deny everything or throw something back at your face. dunno what to do......

Regardless of the cause of his attitude, there's something causing it. Whether it's an outside influence or not, something is wrong. It may possibly be a chemical imbalance in his body. It's the greatest cause of depression, anxiety and an entire list of mental illnesses and diseases. If it continues something bad will undoubtedly happen. Don't let this go on for too long. Don't put off something that you'll regret not doing sooner.

I wouldn't blame it on drugs right away... Mark quit being a professional lol
Take it from someone who has dealt with depression, like what's being said, it could be a W I D E range of things. Anything work related such as people he has to work with, or pay, or co-workers... Or it could be other friends, or a girlfriend or some sort of women in his life... Or it could be reflecting thoughts of the or past, something that bugs him... Or contemplating an important decision... Or it could be personal self unhappiness for whatever reason... Or just any number of things!
                    Sometimes things just change
I've lost friends before and it's been a very confusing experience.
