Money DOES GROW ON TREES!!!

So, this weekend i took 3 days off work and went up to my grandmothers. My brother said you can pick balsam trees and companies buy it for reef making.

well .25 cents a pound, and several thousand pounds later between me and him. We camped in the forest picked and cashed in all day and night. We were making 300$ a day doing it!!!

Going back up this weekend once i get all the damned ticks off me >:|

The state forests are full of balsams. Go cut some money down this weekend before all the deer hunters are in the woods.

Ticks are year round. You generally dont see ticks in the winter because they are in fields with tall grass.

Anyway you dont cut the tree down, you snip off the boughs at the first branch leaving the main arm to grow. The forestry service is actually happy we do it, it gets rid of some of the undergrowth for them. Most of the trees you pick from are only about 5ft high.


They also take white pine, cedar and princess pine. I picked about 90lbs of princess pine and it sells for 2.50 a lb. Money grows on trees i tells ya! I mostly pick in Chequamegon national forest. Now lets see who can pronouce that! And for extra credit pronouce blueberry pie in Ojibwe: Miinaanbaashkiminisijiganbitooyinsijiganibukwayszh iigan
