unless you paint the whole car you have to blend the panels around it to the hood...

you said it was already repainted once? maybe the person/shop who painted it didnt get a complete match on the OG color...with most colors their are variences, they could have you used varience A, while your trying to match it with varience B...we have a scanner at my work but i only try to use it as a last resort...but i can combine a scan with a paint code and also use the VIN to narrow the search down...if you were unhappy with the job the body shop did they should have fixed it for you...i know customers can be overly picky, but if it doesnt match, it doesnt match...we have sooo many people coming back saying their paint doesnt match, but since we dont actually do the painting and theres so many variables into why a color might not match i usually tell them to blend it and itll be fine...i know bighley autobody is out of the way for you, but i bet itd be worth it...even though hes jewing my mom out of all her money for her car there going to do, at least it will match

if you have time take your car to bighley, from what i've heard they do good work. If don't have the time, there are many good bodys shops around the twin citties area that can handle it no problem. painting is a very fine art. so feel the shop out and ask them guestions about how they paint their cars( suck as are you going to blend the fenders). panel painting never works. It can be so close, to the point that you don't notice, untill your in the right light. even spraying parts with the same paint mixture at two seperate times can still run the chance of colors not matching due to difference in air pressure, paint guns, and/or paint technique. if the paint job doesn't come out the way you like, kindle let them know and 9 times out of 10 they will be glad to fix it for you. if you need and names of shops let me know and i'll see what i can do. hope that helps
