    Hi

hey everyone my name is brian, I'm new to this site kinda, or at least as far as posting goes. I just joined but I know a few people on here or at least so I think. Just wanted to let some of you know that I just bought my first mustang its a 98 svt cobra. I feel that I got it for a steal but some may feel differently but I doubt it. 7200 was what I paid to the origional owner 90k miles most of which were highway. Supposedly he didn't have to do his 1st set of brakes till 70k and only went through a set of tires every 30k so I am fairly confident it wasn't beat. Overall its a very nice car but it does have its imperfections, I consider them very minor especially for what I paid. In the near future I'll be looking for a few things so I figure I might as well mention them now but I need a pair of rear tires, 245/45R17s if anyone has some that are being sold for a decent price, I work in a tire shop so I have a decent idea of what I'm looking at paying for tires once this level is hit but oh well. If nobody does have tires I'll be goin with some dunlop sp sport fm901 tires but they are coming in at 116 a piece which is really cheap considering they are very good tires but whatever, so let me know if anyone has some that they are looking to sell. Aside from that I am having issues with this leather wrapped steering wheel, the seller dropped the price 300 because the wheel began to peel and its getting pretty bad as of now, if there is any way to get a replacement wrap to stitch back on that would be ideal I guess, I don't like cheesy wheel covers so yeah, I guess thats it for now and feel free to comment and ask questions I guess, hope to hear from some of you

Oh, and here is my attempt at attaching a few pics as well

    Hiya.

Seeing pictures of that car makes me want to steal that car. In which case, nice car.

Hi and welcome. 1st, you need a much bigger tire than a 245 in the rear. Do a 275 or 305. It will fill it better and hook and look better. 2nd, don't know about the wheel.

You can't get the cover. Only the whole wheel, and it's over $300. I'd scrounge for a used one. Any leather one should work, even a base or GT, as long as it has the speed control buttons, and you swap the bag.

I have a steering wheel for sale. It's a 94 GT leather wrapped one with no airbag or front cover.

ok well here is the deal on tires, I'd go with a 275/40r17 but the price jumps quite a bit and the tires that I like and are cheap are not made in that size, and other than keith's drag radial suggestion what would be a high performance tire that would be cheap that I could use in that size. I drive this thing daily, though it will never see winter it will be driven for the rest of the year so I should have something that won't have a heart attack if there is some rain. I used to drive a probe and I had kum hoes on it and they sucked major balls, I was wondering what experience any of you guys have with em, mine were the supra 712s and I just couldn't hook for anything with them. I can get a few khumos in that size but are they worth it is what I'm sayin keith said somethin bout some summimoto tires that are supposed to be good, I dunno just lookin for ideas
