    WIR last friday nite/saturday morning.

I"m horsepoopie with names (old/cenile), (but can remember different peoples cars/combos/ets like nothing wrong).
Anyway, just curious if everyone got home ok, and what ya'alls thoughts were on the WIR track?

Remember, next sunday, points race @ rock falls.

It was pretty cool to see someone local there. We will definitely bring some cars next time. The wheelie contest wasn't anything special. Tuff-E-Nuff made a nitrous pass at the end and I'm pretty sure it was an 8 second run. That lightning was pretty wild also. I'm not good with names either. I was the one asking about your engine combo. I think I need one. Anyway, if we go back we are going to try to get some heavy hitters from the cities here to go and put those chitown boys to school. Is that track pretty nice? I plan on visiting them quite often later this year.

To be honest with you nobody could hookup but I believe it was because of the amount of street cars. Dragstang can tell how well his car was coming out of the hole. I would probably go back though if I brought my car along. I would rate it better than Rock Falls but not as good as Cedar Falls myself. Nick

Ya'all are going to think I[m employed by rock falls by this response, but rest assured, I am not.
I've raced at more than 8 different race tracks in the last couple years here in the midwest. My bud and I have come up with a list of good and bad things about ALL the tracks.
As far as rating them? I'd have to put rock falls HIGH up on the list.
Granted, there ARE some issues I have with that track yet, but not NEARLY as many as the other tracks.
About the only track I don't have issues with (see concerns), is Tri State. (other than being so gawddam far away).

WIR has lots of concerns that I see as a reason not to go back. Traction being a HUGE one.
Comparing that track to rock falls is a joke. I know I'll never go back. That was my 2nd time there. Figured I"d give it a 'not in the middle of summer' tryout to see if anything had changed for the better. It had not.

So, all I'm saying is the next time everyone wants to flame the shit out of rock falls, GO and RACE at these other tracks, and THEN compare.

Cedar falls (other than being an old dumpy track), is a nice track, (and biggest reason everyone loves it, is it's inexpensive as hell to run there). As far as traction, IT being the 'house of hook', I"ve never experienced it.
The 2 BEST tracks I"ve ever hooked at are rock falls and Union Grove.

So, before selling your 'local track' short, I truly hope everyone gets a chance to race at these different tracks, and truly compare everything. Not just a couple little piddly things.

          My .002

(and, yes, I spun, spun, spun down at wir. It was not a good nite. Air was good, but traction sucked HUGE).

Kinda hard to have a wheelie contest when no one can hook.................

My buddy ran his first ever 12 sec pass at cedar falls, EVERY one I talk to have had the same experience with that track. I guess something was not right the time you went there

By all means, I am NOT flaming cedar falls. I've run down there 3 times, (all during ford mustang/muscle vs. ricer, etc, type meets, so no actual REAL race dates.). I can only assume that the track is prepped much better on those days.

I"m just saying, you can't flame (i.e. rock falls), for not hooking on real race days, (like any other track).

I'm truly looking forward to going down to cfr at the end of this month.
Hopefully the traction fairy will appear at least once or twice while I"m there.
