Ricer dies at closed dragstrip, wrong way down track

He and other witnesses said the driver, who had a green Honda Civic, went through the track in the wrong direction after it had closed because of poor weather conditions. The driver was going about 40 mph at impact, they estimated.

If you're at the staging area, I could definately see it. Look at Cedar and Rock Falls. 50' or so before the staring line is just a fence. Remember, he went backwards down the strip.

There are Hundreds of Tracks riddled through the states that dont have anything more then guardrail and wood post barriers. I can see and agree with what Fern is Saying. I call BS at the 40MPH though. I railed a ditch in the rain at well over 80mph and was fine. Some members on this board witnessed it.

Look at the pictures in the Photogallery. Looks like if yo uwent through the staging area it is all wooded and my have a ditch at the end. He may have drove right off the track into that.
