i just put vista back on my computer and i turned virtual memory off.

when ever i play games that used up 1.2 gigs or more of my 2 gigs of ram, it minimizes my game and says i am running out of ram and i ctrl alt delete and it shows only 1.2 being used.

what can i do to stop this?

dx10 works as far back as 2000

if you wanna keep virtual memory disabled, add more ram. 2gigs is barely enough for vista alone, let alone for a game as well.

is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

You probably need 4 gig to do what you are trying to do.

i am running hl2 and it does it with only used 1.2 gigs not full 2 gigs
