my new shotgun

i picked up a new shotgun last week. it is awesome! i put a few boxes through it this weekend and like it alot.

now i just need for the leaves to drop and the birds should follow! the dog is more than ready too

However, I'm looking at buying an AR15 in the .308 caliber. Eliminate the need for both the m4 and the m14

is all the dakota's shotgun only for deer? i would hate to use shotgun for deer. but i guess when you're in open spaces it keeps you a little more honest.

coming up on a good time of year for hunters. also made a whole new trail through some woods and swamp this weekend that is sure to make this deer season more interesting, it's in a perfect spot to give access to a great area that was otherwise almost impossible to get to, so that's pretty exciting.

No Dakotas are rifle or shotgun for deer. We also have a blackpowder and bow hunting seasons also. I usually use a Remington 700 ADL 25-06 caliber for my deer hunting, and an old Savage 12ga. for my bird hunting.

dont you mean an AR10? i thought the AR15 is a 5.56 version of the AR10 which is .308

No, shotgun just makes the deer hunting a little more fun. It's no fun to pick the deer off from 400 yards, gotta stalk them and get a little closer.

However, I normally end up with about 12 deer tags, so I'll end up using both rifle and shotgun.

we have some really good grouse land where we are but won't be going every weekend. where do you go?
