    AMON AMARTH

10/12 at Station 4 in St. Paul.

    Who's going?

What is that place like anyway? I am new to the area and i don't know if this is the kind of place you don't want to drive to, if it is a shitty venue, etc.

Either way - I MUST be there. Found this band like a year ago and I absolutely love their music.

Also, if anyone likes Amon you should check out Anterior. They are all early/mid 20s kids from England and they dropped their debut album in June of last year. This CD has not left my player since I bought it. Hands down top 3 best ever thrash metal. Complicated riffs, tempo changes out the mofo, great melodies, intelligent vocals (although a bit screamy) and awesome solos - these guys have it all.

Here are some of their songs (enjoy!)

err wait was it that ruined elf city east of ashenvale in world of warcraft.

They sound kinda like that band at the end of guitar hero 3...

LOL. Yeah that's exactly what they are named after. "Mountain of Doom"....

Yeah the singer reminds me of Dethklock. They have an entire genre of metal to their own and if you can get past the vocal style their music is just epic. The lyrics are all basically "grab your axe and go into battle, spare no mercy" type of shit.

Are you going to dress up in a viking costume for the concert?
          Not at the table, Carlos.

Na. I can't pull off the whole crown of horns thing.

I am a stalky, hairy-backed, dark-haired german dude. If I had long blonde hair I'd maybe consider it.

However, a Viking metal band in the Cities will surely see more people dressed as a Viking than the dome on a Sunday in November.

I figured you'd be going. I noticed that sig a while back but I didn't know if you listened to them or just found a sweet windmilling sig

Station 4 in St. Paul sucks! It's prolly one of the worst places i'v ever seen a show.

When we got to my place, I already had a candle burning. It was by "Glade", which I think you pronounce like the singer Sade, because it is an exotic candle that smells just like real pine.

no it doesn't. 2.50 PBRs and a metal show for 20 bucks is hard to beat

Amon Amarth rules too. Have a good time!

I've broken my nose twice at Station 4 shows, I love that dirty fucking pit of a bar. Perfect for metal/metalcore shows.
