The irony is that as more people loose their lives - the more important it is that something powerfully positive comes out of it. What a shame to have our buddies go give their lives for nothing.
I am sorry for your losses. Think of the thousands who come home and are no where near what they were when they left. It really fucks with their heads. My step brother is kinda not right in the head after his time over there. PTSD and shit.

It's not for nothing regardless of the outcome. It's for the belief in freedom and our way of life. It shouldn't ever be measured by the outcome, but rather the ideal they died for.
Politicians should not, and in my mind do not, determine the worth of a man's life.
