Actually, I was not the one that posted that. But I know exactly what he is talking about and agree 100%. And like Southern said, it is very hard to explain to those that haven't experienced it. I guess you will have to just take our comments for what they are, but notice that all of the combat Vets on here seem to be singing the same tune on this topic.

Like I said, I have tried to inform where I can and it just never turns into anything but a giant pissing contest with insults a-flyin everywhere. It is just too much of a hot topic for some people - me included. Opinions are pretty deeply rooted and most people aren't going to change them.

I will still put some of my $.02 in on military and war topics, but it isn't going to be because I actually hope to change anybody or care what they think anymore. It will be because I feel like saying something. And sometimes, I won't feel like saying something. That's the way it has to be.

Some things just can't be apologized for fully. Maknig fun of PTSD and soldiers that might suffer from it is one of those things. I'm not still pissed off about you saying that to me so much, I do accept your apology. But I am still pissed off at you for how that comment might affect other soldiers that might be suffering from PTSD. But because of comments like yours, it's all made it into a big goddamn joke so they probably will continue to feel like seeking help at the VA for PTSD is a sign of weakness... and they're whack jobs for needing it... And maybe one of my brothers or sisters in arms will go on suffering and living a shitty life because of a stupid stigma furthered by your comment. I have been back and forth and up and down with the likes of Max Power and SFC so many fucking times on these topics that it all gets a bit old after a while, and you are right.
