If nitro racing was SAFE, easy and cheap... everyone would/could do it! The danger is part of the allure. I can't believe they made this decision but then again, I'm not a pro nitro driver/team owner either.
I will not support any 1000 ft racing, as it is not the tradition of 1/4 mile racing.
What they need to do if they are so scared, is limit the cars or build tracks with longer shutdowns.
Whats next?? Will they be so scared they will only race to the first 300 ft
1/4 mile racing is 1/4 mile 1320ft racing...not this 1000 ft crap.
I guess if NHRA is going to keep wearing their fire skirts, it will be time to support the IHRA.
