An idea for the Lot...

How about this....

Instead of sitting there and getting kicked out at 10:30 or 11pm and then complaining about it (which I usually do because really, wtf are we doing wrong?) how about we all leave at 10:00 pm? We could cruise somewhere else at that time and avoid the traffic jam when trying to leave and keep the cops from feeling like 'Mr. Bigshot-impotant-guy putting the smack down'.

I think we should throw the cops a curve ball. They won't expect to find an empty lot...or atleast a partially empty lot. Let them deal with the ricers only.

We could hang out somewhere from 10-11 and then come back or something...


Is it just me or does the lot seem less fun this year already?

well we could do lot hopping. i think that would be cool. hit one lot for a couple hours and then locate to another "hidden" lot and chill there until after 11. that way we could assemble and then hit the regular lot later at night. i think the funny thing is, we went to the lot across from MAS and there were plenty of police cars that just drove by, didn't even bother stopping in and kicking us out. we stayed there one night for a couple hours after 11. so maybe that would be an alternative to the moble lot.

i think sleeper might be on to something here. ive been at the lot plenty of times AFTER the cops have kicked every one else. people always come back, not as many as where there, but people still park there afterwards and hang out, cops drive by and dont seem to mind then. i dunno, i like cruisen every now and again anyways, its actually kinda fun to drive around with friends and go hang out else where.

Dont take this the wrong way, but I don't see how they can't. Yeah it sux and all, but, they are cops. Seriously, what can we do about it except not be there or leave early or find another place. (This is a cry out for some ideas)

As much as not being there to have the cops hate on us would be nice, anywhere on Uni will have the same problem. IMHO, we could opt not to be on the main strip and not be bothered, but that would kill the mistique of being around other car enthusits, albiet chevy, ford, dodge, or even the imports (hey, gotta laugh at someone)

The thing about them kicking us out is we are on privately owned property without permission. All the shops in that mall are closed therefor we technically can't be there. The cops are in full right of what they are doing. Maybe the owner of the building does not want us there and called the cops and told them to kick us out at a certain time. Technically we are loitering (sp?) by just standing around there doing nothing. Loitering is something that is a ticketable offense. Be glad that when they kick us out they are not handing us a ticket at the same time.

Let's just all meet in the Borders Books parking lot a little north of Porkys (just past snelling). Big lot, lots of lights, and an obstructed view so cops wont see us gathering there.

We hid out there a few times last year.
