so does it really take a quarter to get a cart? Someone told me Aldi's does this?

all the carts have a little chain and a lock type deal on them...and when you slide a quarter into the lock it pushes the chain out so the cart isnt locked to the others anymore. then when you are done with the cart you simply bring the cart back to the front of the store slide the chain back into the lock and your quarter slides on out. its to keep carts out of the lots, and it's alot cheaper than hiring a bunch of 15 year old kids minimum wage to push carts.

Seems to me just a regular shopper shouldn't know so much about their shopping cart policies, or maybe you're just very observant.
