    I disagree.

We should have gotten a golf cart, 40 oz malt liquors, and a boom box playing breakin' circa 1984 and followed her the whole way.

5k isn't a marathon, it's a 3 mile run. This is perfect weather for it.

I didn't see any salt dumped in St Paul.

when you are not used to it, it could be 2 blocks and still feel like a marathon

Elizabeth (my g/f) is also running a 5k this morning. I think it is at Minehaha park. I got cold just trogging around in the John's Auto junkyard...that wind would suck fucking ass for jogging.

I was thinking the same thing but held my tongue. I don't think this is the perfect weather for it. It's so cold that you have to pack on so many layers to get warmed up. Too many layers = nipple chaffing. Chaffed nipples = hating life.

She is trying to do 1 a month. We went running one day to get ready I am trying to support her in this because this is one way to force her to get excersize. She has lost a good amount of weight since we got married so I am doing my best to get her moving and motivated to keep it up

this weather = not ideal for running.

running in shit like this compared to running in 60* weather my 2 mile times slowed down by over a minute.

Haven't been in the wind yet, but this temp is really comfortable after the first mile. Getting up to temp is the hardest part, especially in an organized event, where there is a lot of standing around. Training runs you can just go.

I used to run down to about Zero degrees out, but you have to be in shape to generate the heat, and the first mile will be a little brisk. If you are running ten, better uncomfortable for the first mile than overheating for the next nine.

I give credit to anybody that does it though, regardless of shape. There is no coasting or shortcuts in running.

I started to go out for my daily 2 mile run today and turned back after about 4 blocks....Fucking wind is a pain in the ass.

Sucks to dress for....you don't want to get cold from the wind but you don't want to overheat either.
