Who changes oil at 3,000 miles or less on daily drivers?
Really? Hmmm. What is Ford's warranty on the engine say? What does the owner's manual say about oil change intervals? Just curious (as Ford runs these engines at WOT for DAYS on end when testing without any oil change).

I change my oil every 3 months which is roughly every 2000 miles. I do it because I believe there are chemicals in the oil that need to be burned off and with my short trip driving the oil rarely gets hot enough to burn off or evaporate things such as water condensation, gasoline that gets passed my rings and blow by residue.
3000-5000 with royal purple, I probably could go more, I just would feel dumb if my shit blew up cuz I only changed my filter every 5000 and my oil every 10000

I go every 7k with Amsoil XL and Amsoil filter. I did every 5k before I used full synthetic. That routine has allowed the Exploder hit over 240k miles now.

I think Ford says 5000 miles as does my NISSAN. My DIESEL is like 7500 miles unless you are using it in extreme situations, heavy towing or heavy load on engine etc. I have no issue going 5000 miles on my wifes Nissan. If I lived in the country and drove on alot of dirt roads with lots of dust I would go 3000.
It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word. Andrew Jackson
Every 2,000 for me, because I can and I have not payed for an oilchange in 12 years, I have seen first hand what happens to a poorly maintained engine, why what scientific proof do you have now?
I run synethic mobil 1 on my notch, I dont even think I'll put 3,000 miles on it this year, even so I would change it at normal intervals, why? Its easy, gives me a reason to be in the garage, and cheap insurance.
