It wasnt very bad at all. training stops at -10* and I doubt it will get that cold for you when you're down there. we only hit that mark a couple times in january.

our FTX got cut a day short because the colonel said it was too cold to be sleeping in tents.


But in all reality fort leonardwood is cake if you just put forth some effort. especially if you arent doing osut training there. Our drill sergeants rode our ass pretty good through red and white phase because they knew we were going to be there for 20 weeks. It seems like the non-osut people have it a little easier.

Good to hear, I'm leaving in August....do they stop training for high heat and humidity? (i keed). Did the DSs let you have any personal belongings back over time? I've heard of a FEW places doing this....Not something I care either way about, but it's nice to know ahead of time so you don't leave something at home that you might get to otherwise enjoy towards the end. What MOS are you?

I dont know about high heat stopping training. I have heard that they wont make you be in full battle rattle for a lot of it (body armor, knee/elbow pads, helmet and such) but I really have no idea because the hottest it got when I was there was 50* we layered up as much as we could.

I'm hoping at AIT I have time for a congical visit or two from the old lady.....6 months is a long time to go without getting laid when you've been getting it almost daily for 9 years! I'm not looking forward to the whole no sex thing....that shit is addictive like heroin.
