Anyone else talk to the BIR person at the auto show? The lady told me for $265 if you brought your own car you could race from 10:00am to 5:30pm after a class from 8:00 to 10:00. That sounds like a lot of track time for the money. Anyone ever do this? We should get a group together.

Did you talk to Mark? He's a member of this site. I saw him talking to a bunch of guys, so I didn't have time to say hi. I forget his screen name here, but his red notch is in his avatar pic.~Matt

There's a few events posted on the forum.
Also, it's not racing as it isn't a timed event."A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station... you figure it out ..."

Gary Curtis is a great guy and very good instructor. I got my first round of instruction at BIR from him actually... His events are essentially the same as the TTM event that is happening on June 2nd but TTM is doing it for cheaper.
Definitely a great time and more track time than you likely can handle. Most people are all tired out by mid afternoon. So the trick is... save yourself for the end of the day and you get track time with nobody else on the track to get in your way
.
If you are able, save them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go. Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have left and what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own. And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

Ray,
Are you going to have your car ready or do you want to call "Shotgun!"?
The passenger seat is open......?

Trying to find money to fix the car. New washer dryer, income taxes, property taxes, paying off the garden tractor, new deck, new flooring in basement, and now finishing the laundry room is eating my cash.Originally posted by HAULNSS View PostRay,

Might have to rent a vette.
