the jeeps did so bad because they don't contrubute their off road proving ground data to the over all scale. they said so themselves that the jeeps did well at the off-road course, but for driver use as a soccer mom would use an SUV, they are not the best.

Oh, I'm sure Jeep is really happy to know that the average consumer wont benefit from owning most of the vehicles in their line up.

It's obvious that they are ONLY trying to sell their vehicles to the huge market of jeep owners that go off roading. Errr.. wait.

i did notice where it mentioned that jeep "boasts about selling the most vehicles to the crowd who actually go off-road" although, the majority remain on pavement. how do you even accuretly record somthing like that? people who "actually" go off-road?

Does being stuck in a ditch count as off-road?

Jeep hasn't made a decent vehicle since the turn of the century.

Could have fooled me. Isn't the Wrangler the only thing left with a solid front axle?

The Cherokee/Liberty/etc are all made out of plastic now. Can't see that stuff faring too well in the woods.

                              dually noted.

i would never buy a brand new vehicle for a trail rig anyway, that is actually kind of an oxymoron.
