Hmmm Not exactley, like I said have the owner go and get a duplicate title for it. If they refuse then there is some reason why and I'd stay away from it.Originally posted by Gipper View PostHave a towing company send it through a Sheriff sale for you. Just buy it back from yourself (minus the auction fees if any) and they'll write you a new title.
Thats what I've heard anyway.
Buying muscle/sports cars/regular cars/trucks, send me info, I pay cash or credit card if that makes you feel better!

If he says no ask why not and even offer him $20 to go with and do it, only take 30 minutes tops at most DMV's.Originally posted by 89DDgt View Postthanks for the tip, ill call him backBuying muscle/sports cars/regular cars/trucks, send me info, I pay cash or credit card if that makes you feel better!

Building a car that never had a VIN/title is a little different than a car that has a VIN and the title is lost.Originally posted by Video_Master View Posttake it to a drivers exam station and you can have it inspected and they can make it so that you can get a title. You could even try calling first to see when they do these types of things. That is what you have to do if you get a car you build from scratch titled.

towing company needs to have certified letters sent to the owner/lien company showing atleast 45 days old. otherwise they're a no go for auction or straight sale. after all that fun shit you get a piece of paper for a vehicle inspection to make sure it's road worthy. (you can sign that yourself)

I worked at a towing company for 10 years (this was many years ago) so I'm pretty familiar with the required procedures..... and ways around them.
