Anyone remember the one that was posted about a month ago? The LED one, I think. I dont feel like searching the pages of the merged threads.
What was that flashlight from Lowes or was it Home Depot?

I looked for that thread...not there anymore.
It's at Lowes. But it's a certain model...but there's a catch. There are two lights that use the same SKU number. The old one sucks ass. The new one is the good one. I forget the stats and the exact name. I would give it to you, but I threw away the packaging.

Searched the merged thread and found this:
For all of you flashlight whores out there, an updated version of the Lowes Task Force LED flashlight is now available at many Lowes stores. The new version has the same SKU number as the old version that came with the outdated Luxeon lamp. But instead the new version has the awesome new CREE LED that produces much more light and has greater efficiency. This light is not micro small like some of the tactical lights yet at the same time it's not a huge monster like the 3D and 4D maglites. The new Task Force light uses 2 "C" cell batteries and pumps out a whooping 150+ lumens. This light is known for having a huge "throw" while having little spill. (That means it shines far but has a narrow beam). It's priced at $29.97 which is a steal for the hot new CREE lamp. For those of you considering getting a Maglite LED forget about it and pick up one of the new Task Force lights. They are not on the website yet and are slowly making there way into Lowes Stores as we speak. Some Lowes are not putting the new stock out until the older Luxeon lights have sold so be careful that you are buying the new one. Easiest way to tell you are getting a CREE is to look for two things on the package. The term "XLamp" will appear on the package and the Phrase "60X brighter than standard LED" will also appear. IF you don't see those phrases then pass on the deal until you can find a new one.
