Web browser problem.

On one of our computers our web browsers (IE/Firefox) will not work. AIM and MSN messenger works though. That computer is the one with the modem and router. We set up another computer this week (the one im using) that runs off of a companys intranet, also added a fax machine to this machine. The browser stopped working when we got this setup running, I cant figure out what the hell the problem is. Someone help.

It is because you drive a Camaro.

My comp would do that at my apartment, AIM would work but I couldnt do anything with the internet. It ended up being my wireless router. Obviously not the case for you since it stopped working when you hooked up the new stuff.

Things to do:
Check to see if you if you've got a static IP or using DHCP on non-working computer.
Also clear cache/temp files
Check HOSTS file to see if anything is in there
Disable any toolbars, and un-install Norton
Boot into Safe mode.

Try those things in that order, see if that helps

Right across from the highland office in a house. I work on saturday (sears) McAfee was the problem with my internet.

I would guess nameservers are fubar. IM will try to use an IP if it can't do a dns lookup.
