    So i thought we needed a truck thread

    we haven't had one of these in a while...
    here's a pic stolen off the ford-trucks forum, a stock F150 with 5000+ lbs in the bed:



    supposedly drove and rode just fine... and that's not even the heavy duty payload kind, since it's a crew... i betcha the HD package wouldn't even look this bad

    Oh yeah, that thing has in the bed more than a ridgeline can tow...

    I'd like to see a before and after pic of the ride height of that truck. My bet is taht it sits about 2" lower when empty now.

          The other day I was at my parents and there 06 king ranch crew f150 was next to there 01 f350 crew....LOL. the f150 rear leafs are like little toys in comparison. they look silly.

                  Ive had over 2000lbs in my S10 2wd 4 cylinder. Large bumps made the stearing feel slightly loose.....

                    I've had about 2500lbs in an 87 F150... same feeling... going over speed bumps the nose was kinda bouncy... but other than that, it didn't even phase it.

                        can it pull 6k of dead weight??? no, i only know of one truck that can...
