The proposal constitutes a far-reaching change in the immigration system that would admit future arrivals seeking to put down roots in the U.S. based on their skills, education levels and job experience, limiting the importance of family ties.

Oh no, now, instead of letting in deadbeat people who do nothing, we are letting in people that have skills to further the workforce of Amerikkka. Such a travesty.

Another thing that pisses me off is that will fuck people like me. My wife is from the Phillipines and we want to get her mother over to take care of the kids . Not permanent just to help out. We are doing it the RIGHT way . My wife is becoming an American Citizen then we have to petition for her mother. It already takes like 2 years to petition for someone . With this shit it will just tie up they system and honest people will suffer because of the wetbacks

Letting people in based on their skills and merits is the way it should be. I want to see the best and the brightest from all around the world in high tech areas. The problem is I don't care what they are going to write in to law, what is happening on the southern border isn't going to change one bit. This is a feel good encouragement message. An electronic border that can see everything isn't even half as effective a border patrol that does what someone would think they should do, as in turn these people back every times they see them coming.
What the hell is with the AmeriKKKa comment?

That bill sounds like the same thing Canada exercises. I don't think you can become a citizen up there unless you offer something they need.

A friend of mine was engaged to a Canadian citizen and it was the exact same thing for her here as well.

This issue has become such a political football, neither party can be trusted to come up with a solution that will be better for the country rather than the perception of what would be better for their party come election day.

I am not against people coming to our country, it's just a resource that needs to be managed. National ID cards, seasonal work visas, and proper income taxes all need to be implemented. We need the labor, they need the money, let's just make it seasonal, tracked, and taxed. It all starts with border control, and strict penalties for businesses that hire illegals.

It's the laws that are the problem, that's why some refuse to enforce them when the disagree with them. We need to get rid of the law.

Next time I'm pulled over for speeding, I'm going to argue that we shouldn't have that law in the first place or at least advocate that we should never enforce it!
