Any other 2.3T fans in the area? I know of about 3 guys, but im sure there has to be some SVO, turbo coupe, merkur, cougar guys out there.

i'm guessing you mean 4 cyl. when i look back at the ease compared to the 5.0 swap, and the gas prices now, i think back and think i should have looked more into a turbo 4. oh well...

if you running stock boost and its running right..you should be getting good gas mileage. You shouldn't have to run premium, don't know alot about the xr's..but the turbo coupes and svo's had a switch that you use to switch between regular and premium..it would bump up the boost and change the timing curve when flipped to premium mode.. Atleast if you are running stock boost you shouldn't need premium, i suppose its not intercooled though.Originally posted by T BONE View Post

I like the motor where it is.
Sooner or later someone will pay what I want for it. Otherwise I will let it sit. Al.l the gauges work still, althoug ht the gas gauge gets finicky when its cold out. Heated leather seats stilll work with no rips. windows, antenna. On most merkurs these parts quit working back in the 80's
