Are Autometer tach's a ricer mod???

So I just installed my new Autometer Mini Monster Tach ( 3 3/8") and I thought what the hell I will put some pics on mnfbody.com to see what people think and I got a lot of thats looks like something a ricer would do etc. So I wrote back to some people saying well it's not like I did it in a stock form car, my car really needed a new one as when I got the car tuned the factory tach was around 500rpm off. But still people say nope looks like shit blah blah blah. Oh well I like it and it serves its purpose.

So lets see what you all think. I can still see my MPH from around 35mph and up so its not really in the way of that. Reason for location is I didn't want to put a hole in the dash.

Dan, I have one in my car as well. Personally do what you want with your car and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If I was spinning higher rpms (which I am) and my factory tach was off (which it is) I would want something that is more accurate to tell me whats going on with my rpm's.

I think it looks fine and it serves a purpose. If it was one that was like 15" diameter and double backed taped to the dash and not wired in, That would be ricey

The only thing I can't stand about aftermarket tachs, is that most of them are 10,000 rippums. Who the hell actually needs a 10k tach?

BTW your 3 foot wing is getting installed at clutchmen this weekend, and bob is doing the custom rattle can penis down the side of the car like you wanted free of charge.... i offered to build the "I EAT COCK" 3rd brake light cover but jeremey said that was a little over the top for your ride, that the penis was enough.

autometer isnt rice. autometer is good stuff.

My stock tach was bouncing all over the place and not accurate at all. I installed an autometer monster tach and no accuracy problems.
