Yup same exact shit. Just more of it.Originally posted by Zinc View PostHell no. HD is still regulated by the FCC like normal radio, and still has the same shitty playlist.
And as for it Sat. being compressed. Most people here aren't Audiophiles so most aren't going to care about or for that matter actually hear the very minimal amount of compression you hear occasionally."Government exists to protect us from each other. 99% of the time my sat radio sounds fantastic. The other 1% is very minor compression that happens a minute out of the day.

Compression is pushing down or up all the frequencies levels the radio station puts out accross the board, 20 - 20,000HZ. Compression keeps all the frequencies under a certain level the more compression you add the worse your sound quality is going to be.Originally posted by Emart View PostWhat does compression sound like?2000 Camaro SS P1sc

I dont think cheap, and HD radio are in the same sentence. Last time I check ( was a while ago, so may be diff now) the receivers were 4-500$Originally posted by badcobra View PostHow would I know if my factory '05 F150 deck is compatible with an HD tuner? I don't want to replace the factory deck, and just getting the tuner is el cheapo so it seems a simple and cheap way to get digital radio.Pure as the driven snow.

. If my deck was compatible, all I would need is the tuner. That's what I am asking.
