Really. I was running the Gaterback and I hated it. Shreaded them constantly. I switched to the Green Stripe and haven't had any problems since. I'm running the same setup you are with a 4lb lower.
Have you been driving it in these cold temps? Maybe that's it????

The gatorback belts leave lots of black dust. Get a green stripe gates belt that is the proper size and you will not have issues.Originally posted by sturte30 View PostLocally.....My gates belt that I have sucks my ass. Not sure. It was what was on there when I bought it. I guess I just assumed that the proper belt would be on it. Also it didn't do it the whole drive up from texas. Just started about 2 weeks ago.Originally posted by Video_Master View PostWhat size belt are you running?

I went with a slightly smaller belt and I have the 4 idlers and the 2.76 and I use the following and have had no issues and using the same belt for 1.5 years.Originally posted by sturte30 View PostNot sure. I have K080745 Gates Green Stripe
That is a 74.5" belt which is .6" shorter then the stock belt. I have had no sign of belt slippage or anything with that.

Where did you pick up your green stripe from? The 74.5" fit with no issues huh? Dumb question but wouldn't a shorter belt put too much tension/stress on the s/c snout?Originally posted by Video_Master View PostI went with a slightly smaller belt and I have the 4 idlers and the 2.76 and I use the following and have had no issues and using the same belt for 1.5 years.

It fits but it is very tough to get on and what I did is remove the AUX idler from the bracket and then put the belt on and then put the AUX idler back on once the belt was on. Made it much easier. I ordered my belt online from RockAuto.Originally posted by sturte30 View PostWhere did you pick up your green stripe from. The 74.5" fit with no issues huh? hmmmm
