So On my trip back up I seen something crazy, over 100 cars in the ditch in under 25 miles!!!!!!!
Just north of Des Moines and about 25 miles out there were over 100 vehicals still in the snow this sunday afternoon!
At one point, near a bridge, I counted 14 cars in the ditch in under 100 yards!
Seen that same thing, with 12 vehicals, in under 100 yards also.
Some of the most memerable sights.....
Vehicals I can recall upside down.....explorer, 2 s10 blazers, F150, 2 silverados, bravada, buick riveara (only car upside down) and also seen a ranger that had flipped proabably 3 times down a 50 foot cliff of the freeway, top was crunched down. Seen over a dozen full upside down vehicals total.
Seen a few pickups on there side, one was a blazer with the back window out and spare tire 10 feet from the suv.
Seen a full size bronco up on the cable divider, balancing on the middle.
Seen a vw bus ditched lol.
It was crazy.
The only 3 pics I took, the two snow shots were actually in "decent" visability, when it was near zero, My camera was the last thing on my mind haha
The ice grill was well after I was south enough to be in the clear, It was even worse when I was farther north.
So basically right when the freeway opened in akely(sp) IA, going south, that is were all the cars were, I bet there were over 200 and there were alot removed already.
