How about breaking up OPEC. Last week OPEC President Mohammed al-Hamli spoke publicly about how he wanted to reduce supply by lowing production to increase price. He thinks the price of oil is too cheap! OPEC is the one to go after.

OPEC is a joke. I guarantee you that BP/Exxon and company have far more influence over them than you could ever understand. OPEC and all it's contributing countries rely just as much on the Oil companies as they do on OPEC.

It's our job as a society to stand up to complete and utter waste like that. Don't give me the "freedom" bullshit as an excuse. NOBODY needs that amount of money. It is my place, and your place, to let those "elite" know they're wrong, and we won't stand for it. This falls into the same category as a smoking ban:

I really have to ask, what is it your place to say how much money someone needs. Why not go after the worthless actors and sports players that make millions and contribute almost nothing to the world before you start after those that actually produce.

Ok, let's do it right. We'll take the median income of all Americans once a month, and multiply it by 100. If society as a whole is thriving, the *wealthy* can thrive more. If you can't double your money by investing it, you shouldn't have ever made that much in the first place.
