I kind of wish ford and chevy were private companies so they could turn their focus back to making cars we want instead of trying to keep shareholders happy by making high commodity pieces of shit with engines. You stay classy Chet Beireis

I don't understand this statement. Since when has Ford and GM made shareholders happy? If they were private companies they would have done mass layoffs, closed plants, dumped unions, and downsized drastically. Just my opinion of course.Originally posted by SFC View PostI kind of wish ford and chevy were private companies so they could turn their focus back to making cars we want instead of trying to keep shareholders happy by making high commodity pieces of shit with engines.

People don't buy fords because of 2 reasons.
They are definatly not leading the pack, and are far from front runners when it comes to innovation. The fusion was a joke, and the 500 is far from being on par with mercedees like Ford says....It's about on par with a toothpick.
People still think "shitty reliability" when they hear ford. I had 2 people already this week at the dealership tell me they weren't interested in ANY ford that we had.

Well no shit, I just want to hear from the ones last summer saying ford is in great standing and GM is going under. And where oh where are the others that keep saying the economy is in good standing?

It's all about what products you make and how they are marketed, if all you make are trucks and suvs when fuel costs rise you fuck yourself.Buying muscle/sports cars/regular cars/trucks, send me info, I pay cash or credit card if that makes you feel better!
