Ipods

The other day I was thinking it would be kind of cool to have music in my car w/o having to swap cds all the time.

I don't know nothing about these things, or whats required to use them in a car.

I am guessing there is something I can buy for my deck that will control an ipod?

I got a pioneer deh-p860mp or something. I think pioneer makes a controller.

Anyone use such a setup? My glove box looks like it should be plenty big to fit whatever, I don't want cords running all over.

I was on the pioneer site, looks like they got a box that allows the deck to control it, my deck is on the list of "some abilities may not work" or some shit.

A quick trip on the bay looks like I could get a 20gig pod for under 100$.

I use a tape converter in the sho whenever I use my Ipod in it. it cant be any worse then that, and I cant tell that much of a difference.

but nothing beats CD quality. Except better CD quality.... Sorry :\
get a CD changer or a 100-200gb MP3 playing hard drive. Thats about
the best recomendation i can make.

I have an alpine deck that I plug my iPod into and it sounds great. Alpine has the built in controller unlike the others so I just needed a $20 cable. But the pioneer does the same thing with the external controller. It is much better then the FM transmitter or the tape adapter.
