Which one do you use or recommend? Which ones are totally free with no expiration. I have been using ACDSee and it won't load on the new computer which I'm sure I could resolve, but maybe there's a much better free alternative.

Buy something HP... you might even beable to download their software from their site for free if not PM me.
Or if you want to be a pro...
Adobe Photoshop
But it won't be like what you are used to... when it comes to the catalog function in ACDsee.Last edited by YouNeverSawMeHere; 12-19-2006, 11:33 AM.

I use Irfanview. Not even close to photoshop, but good enough for me.
Are you a video maker, or do you just want to watch? Find the best video software for Windows, Mac, and mobile, whether you want to be the next YouTube star or just need a great media player for watching movies. These apps help you capture video, edit video, convert files, share with friends, and customize your video playback.

Microsoft Office Pic Manager... because it came with the computer
I guess you used to be able to do a TON more with it... but a so called 'upgrade' actually downgraded capabilities, and cleared out the previous edition from one's computer in the process. Pissed a lot of people off.
It's fine for me now, since I don't do much but size and crop pics anyways... I have MS Paint also, and I like the Microsft Office much better. I use a combo of both for editing out plates and whatnot. But I'm just a n00b to it all so...

I am sure photoshop is better but this is free and easy to obtain. Works well also and has an active forum for editing tips.
