Wireless Network Cards for Desktops - Advice???

On a slightly different note, I've got a Linksys WRT54G and it seems to be acting up. When I run directly from Motorola Surfboard modem to PC, speed is incredible. Lately, I've been slowing down noticably, dropping signal to wireless, to vonage router and needing to reboot frequently to regain signal.

Is my router going bad? If so, replace it with ? brand and model? Wait for N?

I'd just replace it with another WRT54G and look into the sveasoft firmware

I have a hawking and a linksys wireless usb unit, I really like the hawking, the signal strength is awesome, I plugged it in and found a neighbor that had their internet shared, I also have a cheapo air link that works OK and a linksys USB that works pretty decent, laptop is intergrated.
